Return to Earn - Grant Information and Application

The Return to Earn initiative provides money for small businesses to offer hiring incentives for new workers. This application is for businesses located within the cities of Martinsville and Danville and the counties of Henry, Patrick and Pittsylvania. 

Small businesses with fewer than 100 employees may be able to receive matching funds for the payment of bonuses to new hires. Eligible businesses can receive up to $500 per worker. New hires must be working in a taxable (W-2) position that pays at least $15.00 per hour and can be either part-time or full-time. To qualify, new hires must self-attest that they were unemployed prior to being offered employment. The online will assist us in confirming eligibility and drafting a formal agreement for funding. All information must be provided in full to be considered. All information is considered confidential.
