Virginia Career Works is a one-stop concept to provide you as either an employer or job seeker with employment, job training, support services, and more.

The purpose of these centers is to integrate our partners' services and coordinate all of our workforce resources in the region for job seekers, employers/business, skilled workers, training, and, where appropriate, incumbent workers.

In Danville and Martinsville, the center is the home of the Virginia Employment Commission, Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services and other programs administered by the community colleges, adult basic education and agencies contracted to provide additional employment and training programs from Area Agencies on Aging, Community Services Block Grant Act, local housing authority, Job Corps, Native American, Migrant & Seasonal Farm Workers, veterans and youth opportunity grants.
